King of Prussia, PA (April 3, 2025) — Universal Health Services (NYSE: UHS), one of the nation’s largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, has published its 2024 Annual Report.

During 2024, through its network of subsidiaries, UHS cared for nearly 3.7 million patients; employed 99,000 employees globally including 23,000 nurses; and generated revenues of $15.8 billion, an increase of 11% over the prior year. Additional highlights include:

  • The Acute Care Division had 331,000 inpatient admissions, 1.6 million patient days, 1.7 million ER visits, 34,900 deliveries and continued to expand its Accountable Care Organizations.
  • The Behavioral Health Division served approximately 730,000 patients, had 5.5 million patient days in the U.S., and added 164 inpatient beds at new and existing facilities in the U.S. The Patriot Support Programs provided specialized care to over 17,800 active-duty military personnel, veterans and family members at 34 facilities.

2024 marked the 45th anniversary of the company.
