FORTUNE Lists UHS as One of the World’s Most Admired Companies

The March 21, 2011 issue of FORTUNE listed Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS) as one of the World’s Most Admired Companies. To appear as Most Admired, a company must have scored in the top half of its industry survey, conducted by Hay Group. The survey started with approximately 1,400 companies: the Fortune 1,000 — the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue; non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s Global 500 database with revenue of $10 billion or more; and the top foreign companies operating in the U.S. UHS is included among the 350 Most Admired companies. The company ranked as #3 among the healthcare industry and #2 among the Most Admired in Pennsylvania.
