Collaboration creates a connected continuum of care and long-term support tailored to the needs of Veterans, Service members and their families.

King of Prussia, PA and Jacksonville, FL (November 4, 2026) – Universal Health Services’ Patriot Support Programs (PSP) and Wounded Warrior Project® (WWP) have entered into a preferred provider agreement to help Veterans and Service members more easily access specialized inpatient behavioral health and traumatic brain injury (TBI) care, while helping ensure they and their families have support beyond treatment*.

For a Veteran or Service member facing a behavioral health challenge or the effects of TBI, finding specialized care can be difficult. The collaboration brings together two complementary resources: PSP’s specialized inpatient behavioral health and TBI treatment and WWP’s broad range of programs and services supporting warriors and their families.

“UHS has a longstanding commitment to serving, through our network of subsidiaries, those who have served our country,” said Marc D. Miller, President and CEO of UHS. “This initiative allows us to extend the impact of care, connecting Veterans and Service members with specialized treatment and meaningful support for the journey ahead. By bringing together Patriot Support Programs’ clinical expertise and Wounded Warrior Project’s national network of resources, we can create a more connected experience for warriors and their families at a time when they need it most.”

PSP and WWP are helping bridge two critical parts of the Veteran care experience. Veterans and Service members who need inpatient behavioral health or TBI care can be connected with designated PSP facilities. Following treatment, warriors and their families can access WWP’s national network of programs and resources.

“At Wounded Warrior Project, we know healing is a journey, not a single moment in time. That’s why we’re working with UHS’ Patriot Support Program to strengthen how Veterans connect to specialized care,” said Jennifer Silva, WWP Chief Program Officer. “This relationship is another step forward in building a national network of care designed to help warriors and their families access the right support at the right time. Timely access to care is critical, but Veterans’ needs don’t end when treatment ends. By working together, we’re helping Veterans stay connected to the resources, relationships, and ongoing support that foster long-term recovery and resilience.”

“Military service brings experiences and challenges that can be difficult for others to fully understand,” said Lieutenant General (Ret) Ronald Place, MD, Former Director of the Defense Health Agency and PSP Advisory Board member. “When a Veteran or Service member needs behavioral health treatment, it’s important that their care reflects those experiences and the unique circumstances of military life. The Patriot Support Program-Wounded Warrior Project collaboration helps connect warriors with specialized treatment that recognizes those needs and supports their path toward healing.”

Veterans and Service members can access participating PSP services through their existing VA and TRICARE® coverage.
