Universal Health Services Publishes 2023 UHS Annual Report — Leading with Purpose

During 2023, through its network of subsidiaries, UHS cared for nearly 3.6 million patients; employed 96,700 employees globally; and generated revenues of $14.3 billion, an increase of 7% over the prior year. Additional highlights include:

  • The Acute Care Division had 322,200 inpatient admissions, 1.6 million patient days, 1.6 million ER visits, 34,000 deliveries and continued to expand its seven Accountable Care Organizations.
  • The Behavioral Health Division served approximately 730,000 patients, had 5.4 million patient days in the U.S., and added 168 inpatient beds at new and existing facilities in the U.S. The Patriot Support Programs provided specialized care to over 17,500 active-duty military personnel, veterans and family members at 33 facilities.

Coinciding with publication of its 2023 Annual Report, UHS announces the online publication of its 2023 Sustainability Report, outlining the company’s practices and achievements in key areas including patient focus, workforce, community partnership, environment and governance.
