King of Prussia, PA (March 18, 2024) — Army National Guard Behavioral Health Lieutenant Colonel (LTC) Mark C. Fleming, Ph.D., of the 35th Military Police (MP) Brigade of the Missouri Army National Guard was recently awarded the 2024 Behavioral Health Officer of the Year Award from the Army National Guard Behavioral Health Working Group. Mark also serves as Divisional Vice President at Universal Health Services.
The Officer of the Year Award is bestowed for Excellence in Leadership and Service to the State (Missouri) and National Army National Guard Behavioral Health Mission. This award is given annually to a Behavioral Health Officer currently serving in the United States Army National Guard.
“As a twice recipient of the Army National Guard Behavioral Health Working Group Innovation Award, I am humbled by the continued recognition of my work from the national organization,” said Fleming. “No award of this caliber is earned by one person. I am surrounded in my military life by dedicated colleagues and supportive leaders. This is one of my proudest moments and greatest accomplishments and I know that it would not have been possible without the continued support of my colleagues and leaders at Universal Health Services. Their continued dedication to those currently serving, veterans, and, specifically to me, is unparalleled. I look forward with great anticipation to continuing to serve my fellow soldiers locally, regionally and nationally
with the hope that my work translates into lives saved and families kept whole.”
