July 2020 — Universal Health Services and Bayada Home Health Care signed a definitive agreement to form a strategic partnership over expected demand for home-based care, the companies said Thursday.
Under the joint venture, the providers will create Home Health Care services, which will offer in-home care services, including help with recovery from an illness, injury or hospitalization.
UHS and Bayada expect to see significant growth in the next several years based on increased demand for in-home, post-discharge services, according to their release. During the COVID-19 pandemic, many discharged patients require ongoing care at home through the recovery process, they said.
