22nd Annual Global Ranking of World’s Largest Companies
KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa., June 28, 2024 — Forbes released its 22nd annual edition of the Global 2000, which has ranked the largest companies in the world using four metrics: sales, profits, assets and market value.
Collectively, the companies on the 2024 Global 2000 account for $51.7 trillion in revenue, $4.5 trillion in profit, $238 trillion in assets and $88 trillion in market value. There are 61 countries represented on the 2023 list, led by the United States with 621 companies, China & Hong Kong with 324, Japan with 181, India with 71 and the United Kingdom with 66.
Universal Health Services, Inc. (NYSE: UHS), one of the largest and most respected providers of hospital and healthcare services, is pleased to announce it is ranked at #1189. Of the American companies on the ranking, UHS is 399th. UHS has been on the ranking for 21 years, and in 2023 earned ‘Hall of Fame’ status.
